First Anniversary of Tumo Tirana

Launching at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, TUMO Tirana has brightened the minds of over 1,000 teens in animation, filmmaking, game development, graphic design, music, 3D modelling, programing and robotics.

The first anniversary of TUMO Tirana was celebrated in the presence of Mr. Michael D. Granoff, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the AADF, Mr. Martin Mata & Mr. Aleksandër Sarapuli, Co-CEOs of AADF, the U.S Ambassador in Albania, Ms. Yuri Kim and Mayor of the Municipality of Tirana, Mr. Erion Veliaj. The key guests cherished the vivacity of the TUMOians when sharing their learning path at TUMO and were impressed by the thought-provoking questions posed by the TUMOians.

TUMO offers a new kind of learning experience at the intersection of design and technology and is educating the teens of today to acquire the 21st century skills for the jobs of the future.

The AADF is grateful to the Municipality of Tirana, Credins Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Vodafone and UNICEF for their generosity by granting 600 scholarships to teenagers to be part of TUMO Tirana.
